In Victoria, senior students can complete either a VCE or Victorian Pathways certificate. Both of these are offered at our college. VCE is the Victorian Certificate of Education and at our college this is completed across years 10 , 11 and 12 to ensure that each student is properly equipped to achieve the best result within the VCE students can elect to undertake the vocational Major, the Victorian Pathway Certificate, or the VPC for short, is designed for students who need an additional support to transition into the workforce.

ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ÊÓƵ Senior Secondary College provides students with the broadest range of subjects in the region and VCE in particular. Students have the ability to tailor their program to best suit their interests and intended pathway upon graduating from the college.

The VCE is a requirement for students to be able to gain direct entry into university. The minimum requirement to qualify for the award of the VCE is the satisfactory completion of at least 16 units of study, which must include 3 units of English, including a Unit 3 and 4 sequence, and at least three sequences of other Unit 3 and 4 studies.

The VCE Vocational Major requires you to satisfactorily complete at least 16 units of study, which must include three units of English. It must alsoThree other sequences of Unit 3/4 studies, can include mathematics, WRS, PDS, two units from the VCE mathematics groups, two VCE Work Related Skills units, two VCE Personal Development Skills units, and two VET credits at Certificate II level or above.

The assessments students undertake in Unit 3 and 4 VCE and Scored Assessed VET studies are used by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority to calculate a Study Score for each subject. This is a standardised score showing the studentÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ÊÓƵ™s achievement relative to that of all other students doing a particular study in Victoria. This is then used to calculate their individual Australian Tertiary Admission Rank, or ATAR score, upon completion of the VCE.
